Tips for home meditation

The core element that lies in the middle of meditation is focusing a 100% on something. Meditation will give you a big amount of benefits, going from health, to better concentration, lower anxiety, and you will feel much happier.

It is not uncommon for someone to try meditation, but not many people stick with it through a longer period. To help you learn more about meditation and make it easier for you, here are some tips that can help beginners pass the hurdles that they will face at the start.

1. Make it formal
Schedule a time for yourself to meditate. Morning and evening, or whatever time works for you. Set aside the time to practice meditation, and you will see progress.

2. Start breathing
When you breath deep, your heart rate slows down, it relaxes your muscles, it sharpens your mind and is the perfect way to start your practice.

3. Stretch
When you stretch, you loosen your muscles and tendons, which allows you to sit more comfortably. Also, it helps you focus.

4. When meditating, meditate with a purpose
When you are a beginner, you need to understand and learn that meditation is an active process. It’s not easy to focus a 100% on something, so you need to put in the work to make it happen.

5. Recognize the frustration
A lot of people when they start meditating feel frustrated because the results aren’t coming as fast as they would like them to come. Recognize this as a part of the process, push through it.

6. Experiment
People usually have a fixed view on what they should do when meditating, but you don’t need to do that. Experiment and see what fits you the best.

7. Feel your body

11. Be aware at random times during the day
Focus on your breathing, be in the moment, while not in the process of meditation, is something you can do.
